Giant Jones first Barrel Aged beer. Enjoyed from a bottle dated 2/14/2024.
Look: Murky orange/amber body when held to the beer light. A short fine whitish head that's somewhat persistent leaving some fine lacing.
Smell is good: some fruity/yeasty esters. Hint of plum. caramel, micro hint of booze.
Taste follows the nose. There is layer of stone washed fruit. A little oak/vanilla. There is a nice lingering aftertaste. A little Belgian or farm house in it's blood it seems.
Feel is very good almost a 4.5. Slightly malty, not thin. Has a little soft creaminess to it.
A good and interesting beer. I would buy/drink again. 4.19+/5
