Look: Pours a slightly opaque bright orange with a sudsy white head that quickly settles to a film, leaving decent lacing behind
Aroma: Hay, orange peel, Belgian yeast funk, raw bread dough, floral hop notes, light pear, and freshly baked bread
Taste: Opens up with some bread and dough that are quickly followed by hay, floral notes, and yeast funk. Orange peel and pear jump into the fold and intermingle with the flowers and hay nicely before closing with the appearance of more fruity esters, dough, orange, and bread
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and soft and smooth on the finish
Overall: This is a tasty Belgian ale. I enjoyed my first try of this at a tasting and after a couple purchases since, finally was able to review it as it’s a nice take on a Strong Belgian Blonde. It has nice depth of flavor and everything is well in balance with the overall beer and when compared to the other flavor/aroma components. The typical cast of characters is present and the orange peel addition works well here too. Fun, delicious, and recommended
