I probably got this beer in Costco's Advent beer pack in Nov. 2023. From my rating it is just an average beer.

Copenhagen 13/6 2024. 33 cl bottle from Rewe, Süderquerweg, Hamburg. Red and white label with a sketchy drawing of a grinning Asian girl.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a midsized white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam unable covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of sour grains and a touch of sharp alcohol. Sweet pale malts, bread and metallic alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation Slightly thick, watery, lively and gently tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium, strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet and bready.
Solid Helles.

500mL can stamped EXP 2025/03 poured into a mug at fridge temp 5% ABV. The beer pours bright golden amber with off white head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is mild with sweet malt and vegetable oil. The taste is semisweet apple juice with grassy hops and plenty of diacetyl. Minimal bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin with average carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall, poor.

Appearance: deep gold with brilliant clarity. Puts a large frothy ivory head with lasting retention.
Nose: Moderate intensity bread crumb fresh baked bread crust, earthy and spicy hop aroma is medium for style, low buttery diacytl, some honey sweetness, low cooked canned vegetable.
Palate: medium carbonation and alcohol, medium bodied with a nice mineral water profile. Malt is moderate bread crumb and crust with supporting low spicy hop flavor and low hop bitterness. Lingering fresh baked bready malt sweetness in the finish.
Comes across as an excellent dortmunder exportbier rather than a helles but very good either way.
Very Good Quality!

12 Days of Christmas #7
Beer number 7 from Aldi Australia's 2023 Christmas Beer pack, courtesy of Kalea. I'm not doing these beers in order.
Vessel: 500ml Pint can, bright orange label, expiry March, 2025. All the beers in this pack are expiring March 2025. Odd.
Appearance: Bright yellow-golden, a typical Euro lager look. Bright white and frothy 2-3 inches of sea foam like head. Lots of carbonation bubbles flowing to the top. Filtered, but there is an ever so slightly haze to the beer. Most of the beers thus far have had decent haze to them, some bordering on cloudy.
Aroma: Typical Helles/Euro Lager nose. Bright citrus hop notes, underpinned with a strong malt back bone. There's a slight syrupy sweetness I wasn't expecting.
Taste: Sweet and smooth malt profile, balances nicelt with a nice floral hop flavour. Slight bitterness, but mostly sweet. Very smooth taste to the beer. It's basic, but it's clean, and refreshing and inoffensive. Very basic, but well executed for the style.
Feel: Smooth, easy drinking. Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is typical of the style, not like an adjunct, but more carbonation than a stout. Makes drinkability very high, adds to the smoothness of the beer.
Overall: It nails what one expects from the style. It's simple, flavoursome without being overwhelming.

Very clear amber appearance.
Carbonation and body are both just a hair below average but overall still has a nice feel.
Aroma is toasted grain, cereal and malty bread.
Taste for the most part stays true to aroma. Mildly sweet which lingers a bit.
Overall this was very enjoyable

day 8 of the beer advent calendar. another helles; not complaining but that’s 4/8 helles lagers thus far. this one was poured out of a 500mL can into a new glarus dimpled mug. pours a kind of dull straw gold when an even duller head. barely over a finger. aromas of earthy hops and sweet bread from the malt. taste follows but this one drinks heavy for a helles lager. medium mouthfeel. typical carbonation but again, sits quite heavily on the tongue. my least favorite of the 4 helles lagers and least favorite in the box thus far. it was still solid though.
