This year, Landgang's 2023 Senatsbock has once again been brewed as a Cascadian Dark Ale.
This dark, cold-hopped hop delicacy has a robust 8.0% ABV. Thanks to the wonderful hop varieties Cascade, Columbus, and Idaho 7 Cryo, Landgang Senatsbock is endowed with fruity notes of citrus, red berries, and malt.
This Doppelbock is rounded off with warm, chocolatey nuances that gently spread across the tongue and palate.

Copenhagen 19/5 2024. 33 cl bottle from Rewe, Süderquerweg, Hamburg. Off-white label with a drawing of a Goat’s head en face and all kinds of colors at the bottom.
Pours clear dark brown with a red hue and big off-white head. Settles beautifully as a fat, uneven and lumpy layer of foam obscuring the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a dark and a bit sugary malty odor mingling with a citric scent. Dark toasted malts, caramel and Rye bread. Metallic alcohol and brown sugar. Lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit rough. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Potent dark Doppel Bock.
