Phantom always delivers, though sometimes their beers are overly carbonated - this one hits just right. The flavour is well-balanced, a bit deeper / less bright then you might expect and the aftertaste is excellent! Nothing crazy going on, just a simple and very well executed deep IPA.

Phantom Beer 'Mindfuzz' @ 6.2% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a light gold from the can to a hazy yellow/gold in the glass with a large white head leaving a spotty lace along the tulip
S-grapefruit mostly
T-citrus tasting , kinda tart , dry finish
MF-ok carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-just an ok beer

I think this has some potential but the execution just missed. The beer ends up being more yeast forward than I would expect and lends a slightly muddled dirty taste that doesn't suit the style.

473ml can - one of the brands of this contract brewing concern.
This beer pours a murky, medium banana yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and mildly rocky eggshell white head, which leaves some decent tiered streaky lace around the glass as it lazily sinks out of sight.
It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, some orange, red grapefruit, and tangerine citrus flesh, a further indistinct tropical fruitiness, some damp minerality, and understated leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, more orange, white grapefruit, and aged lemon citrus rind, some melon-forward exotic fruity notes, rain-soaked rocks, and more tame earthy, leafy, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite laid-back in its wan-seeming frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, with a gentle airy creaminess arising shortly after the onset here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and mixed frooty esters throwing a swell after-party.
Overall - yep, they pretty much nailed it for the style, which I now see is an NEIPA. Full of flavour, with a rather low bitterness quotient, I could see putting back a number of these on the deck, watching the evening light get shorter and shorter and shorter. Shorter. Anyways, great stuff!

Poured from a 473ml can. NEIPA ༶ 6.2% ༶ 40 IBU Citra,El Dorado and Motueka hops
A: Pours a slight hazy yellow/gold with a thin white head/no lacing, Lots of large bubbles.
S: A nice floral tropical fruit nose.
T: Not a lot of a flavor hit rather like a session IPA, good but needs work.
F: Good balance very carbonated at the start but slows down after sitting a few.
O: A ok IPA but for a North East style it misses the boat.
