This is a solid Helles, and not that many breweries in town make one, so it's good that this place does. Nothing too distinct, but a good representation of the style. I would guess this is a mainstay on their tap roster.

definitely one of the better beers we had in here, things were a little hit or miss, but they are still new, and appear to be largely on the right track. i was pleased with this one, an easy going golden lager with light german characteristics in grain and yeast, but not a whole lot going on, just a drinker, which sometimes is the hardest thing to execute well. great carbonation and head retention and clarity, it looks the part all the way. aroma of light crackery pils malt and minerals, they seem to have gotten the water profile spot on here, as despite being really mild, this is quite traditional. a simple and clean noble hop finish with just a touch of spice to it very late, and a drying lager crispness thats almost all the way there. i like that it has a bit of body and that the carbonation is up, not going to change the world or anything with this, but its one of the better beers they have working in here right now and one i could happily spend an afternoon sipping on. if you havent been in here yet its worth checking out!
