Darker amber color with thick off-white head with medium retention.
Faint aroma with notes of caramel, a bit of herbal pine and bread.
Flavor with notes of mild caramel, some bread crust, orange drops and a hint of pine. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
I was afraid this would have a caramel heavy note given more addition of caramel malt rather than Vienna malt, which would be out of style and not my preference. But that wasn’t the case, likely given they made this light enough. One indication was the low IBU for the style and it is not really unbalanced given low malt base.
Easy to drink and pleasant, but lacks malt complexity.
