This Christmas beer a collaboration between RVK and Ora (Iceland's biggest food producer) and is brewed with peas and cabbage (traditionally part of the Christmas meal).
It pours a clear amber from the can with a rusty 1" head, good retentions and lacing. Nose is toasted malt and bread, with a some mild, earthy hops. A bit sweet, but rather balanced. As it warms, there is a very slight cabbage note. Taste is mild and unassuming - light toasted malt, some brown bread, but very light on the palate. Deep into the finish there is some cooked vegetal flavor, but it's hardly noticeable. Feel is crisp and refreshing. Would have no idea that peas and cabbage went into this, but glad to know it!
