I had this beer on tap in a dimpled mug at Íslenski Barinn.
Appearance: pale orange hue with a dash of haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: sweet malt with a bit of yeasty character. Not bad but not too complex.
Taste: moderately sweet and yeasty, like the aroma, but with a bit of a citrusy hop character. Bitterness is moderate. I find it’s growing on me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a pretty good amber lager; maybe a bit more bitter than the style typically is, but I kinda like that. Definitely worth trying.
