Appearance: Brilliant clear gold. Fluffy white head. Moderate retention.
Aroma: Spicy, floral and bready
Flavor & aftertaste: spicy, grainy flavors. Semi dry with restrained bitterness.
Palate: light to medium body. Semi-dry, crisp, clean short finish.
A first class Helles. Crisp and clean lager profile. Hallertau Mittelfruh hops provides the traditional spicy aroma and flavor. Not too sweet on the malt profile. This is an excellent rendition of Helles. Brewer won award at international beer competition with this recipe. Well crafted. Recommend it if you see it on a menu.

Maverick has a thick, white head, a clear, bubbly straw appearance, and some glass lacing. The aroma is of yeasty, toasted malt, and the flavor is similar. There is also some mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Maverick finishes crisp and clean. RJT
