so thankful to have beer friends all over the place willing to share cool stuff with me that i otherwise would not have access to. this is really good, and its good to have something a little more straightforward from these guys after their intensely fruited sour. this is a cool hazy ipa, the name impies fruit but i dont believe there is any in here, all from the hops. really yellow in appearance, whitewashed and muted but very light compared to a lot of these, some sediment in the bottom of the glass but its not bad, and the inch of white head lasts the whole drink. the nose is fresh sliced lemon, mandarin orange, pineapple, and sweet mango, juicy right away, wheaty and raw and dryish on the grain, good flavor, appreciably fresh on the malt side too which is cool in one of these, grounded and mellow, i like how simple it seems here. the flavor is also great, the hops sort of meld together a little bit, less distinctive than it smells, but fresh and appealing. tangerine, pineapple, coconut flesh, just a little sweetness in the middle, some light oily texture too, but fast finishing for the style and without any green linger. good balance, fuller feel but still easy going, i could have made a night of these. quality offering here, and relatively distinct in a samey space, love the pale color and simple grain base, well calculated hop schedule too, a touch under refined, but nicely done overall.
