my first from these guys, a delicious and drinkable hazy double, more well refined than a lot of them out there, big thanks to my friend for shipping this one out for me to try! it looks nice in the glass, not overly cloudy or milky to me, still golden orangish, and very lively, holding a full inch or more of thick white foam in my globe. the nose and taste line up well, the best parts of mosaic for sure, i get that candied pineapple thing from start to finish, and a more tropical, botanical hop side too, green grape, ripe pear, white peach, melon, those sorts of notes, a little lime leaf herbaceous vibe too. its not overly unique, but its fresh and dynamic, a nice mix of varietals, maybe some cryo hops in play too. there is some soft body to this and a bit of middle palate sweetness, but i definitely do not taste much malt. the ferment is also tidy, bitterness is low, and the finish is quick for the style, no oily hop linger, no burn or bite, great proportions and attention to detail in a style that often presents itself as sloppy. just a bit of alcohol pushing through too, my can says 8% abv, and i can both taste and feel it just as much as i want to. very good overall, way ahead of the curve, i will have my eye out for more from adobe creek in the future!
