thanks to my buddy for sending this out, thought it sounded a little more frou frou than it actually ended up being, quite a clean sour, and all the fruit seems pretty real. this is done with blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, black currant, blueberry, and cranberry. come on guys, no boysenberry or huckleberry? what is this, amateur hour? for real though, a pretty dope lineup of fruit in here, and it seems like most of it can be appreciated on its own. the color of this is amazing, its viscous for its abv sure, almost smoothie style looking, but not super gloopy or sedimented. radiant violet color, the blueberries, currants, and blackberries bringing this to a pretty deep palette, not much head but i dont miss it, this is real pretty. the nose and taste art tangy but not over done, some citrusy lacto character brings out the sour part of the fruits, the medicinal tang of the currants, the sort of bitter antioxidant character of the cranberry, and the tannins in the blueberry skins, but there are some some sweeter jammy elements to this, particularly the strawberry and the blackberry, amazing how each fruit retains some of its core identity, rare in a beer like this. i dont taste much grain but there is plenty of body to this, and its impressively well carbonated for how dense it appears to be in the glass. not as sweet as it seems like it wants to be either, some grippy drying tannins at the end and the sour kicking up with temperature. really fun summer sipper, a good one to share, not sure i want 16 ounces of this in one sitting, but splitting it a few ways was definitely cool. havent had much from these guys, but i was impressed with the execution here in a style that often drinks like a gimmick. not this one!
