Our original milkshake IPA owes its smooth mouthfeel to a huge amount of oats, vanilla and lactose. With its citrusy aroma and flavor from a combo of New Zealand hops and fresh lime zest we can easily say this is one of our all time favorites.

A: Pours a murky bright golden honey in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + bright yellow + apricot + peach + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/lime + citrus/lime juice hops along with moderate to strong aromas of citrus/lime zest. Underneath there are light to moderate aromas of biscuit + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of lactose sweetness. Light aromas of vanilla.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + oat malts with a light to moderate amount of lactose sweetness. That is followed by just shy of moderate flavors of vanilla and moderate to strong flavors of citrus/lime zest. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of citrus/lime + citrus/lime juice hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away leaving slightly stronger than moderate citrus/zest flavors lingering.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light to moderate amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel but not quite as creamy as some of the other examples of the style. Enjoyable with tons of lime from the lime zest + NZ hops.
