Blue Loon is is our homage to one of the first Belgian style beers to really take root in America: the humble wit beer. Brewed with unmalted wheat, orange peel, and coriander this beer is a beautifully simple, anytime crusher.

One tap at Nomad Wineworks into pint glass. Pours fairly hazy golden yellow color with a small white head, with good retention and spotty soapy lacing on the glass. Weak aromas of fruit, grain, yeast earth. Taste of lemon, orange peel, coriander, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, toast, herbal, floral, grass, light banana/bubblegum/clove, yeast earth. Light-medium pine/herbal/woody bitter and spicy yeast finish. Light tangy yeast. Med high carb and medium body. Fairly crisp clean refreshing finish. Lingering sticky hop drying. No astringency. Very flavorful and reminds me of hoegaarden! Really great spot on witbier.
