Explosive head—an overflowing head on a very short pour. It settles quickly and two pours later I’m served a half finger head topping a muddy purple color.
The smell reminds me of the lingering pie crust from a half eaten blueberry pie. There’s a sweetness with the blueberry tartness and graham cracker.
The taste is like (shocking!) a blueberry pie. Actually I am shocked because the name rarely meets the actual experience. The taste starts sweet and slowly morphs into the blueberry sourness. The pure crust is well represented. Not overly sour.
