Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass, this beer draws a clear, light to medium copper color with some bright amber highlights when held up to the light. Has a creamy looking, slightly off-white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served that settles eventually to a thick ring surrounding the inside of the glass and some good lacing. Aromas of some slightly smoked, bready malts with slight caramel sweetness along with some herbal, earthy hop notes. Has some smoked, bready malt flavor with bits of caramel sweetness upfront followed by some herbal and earthy hop bitterness. Good balance of flavors here. Pretty good balance of flavors. Has a crisp, yet smooth, slightly creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink in the way good beer ought to be. Has a clean finish with a nice roasty aftertaste.
