Side by side by side the two barrel aged variants of Zoey, this one seems as though it has a shorter than expected head, but then with a vigorous swirl, a thick tan comforter builds over the black body.
I get a hint of banana ester at first, but that's immediately cut by some heat and a formidable roast. It's a pretty classic stout at first, though first, but it does froth up firmly with a swish.
It seems a bit boozy, but after time, you know what it is? I think it's pretty hoppy, kind of like DORIS. A touch of cherry comes out with time in the booze too. I gotta ding it overall because it becomes harder to drink over a session.
