As a throwback kind of taste, Dreaming Creek's IPA celebrates the citrus forward, bitter finish that is a hallmark staple set of flavors that's tried and true to hop heads.
Burnt orange and light copper in color, Kingdom Come releases an initial creamy froth that breaks shortly after the pour. Its bright, dank and fruity bouquet leads with citrus and peppery herbs before a biscuity caramel sweetness pulls from the malts and greets the early palate.
As the hops open up, the middle palate is rife with the stewed citrus flavors of pink grapefruit, orange peel and a hint of lemon. Trending peppery, resinous and bitter, the late palate turns swiftly to a bite of pine cones, dank grasses and lemon pepper. Supported with a honey and caramel balance, the malts keep a creamy substrate alive while a taste of vodka spruces up the finish.
Medium bodied and keeping a bitter sweet palate, the beer's strive for hop dominance is cut short by the malt balance that tilts toward butterscotch and caramel apples and takes an edge off of the beer's dryness, effervescence and overall brightness.
