Brewed in collaboration with the team from Tresco Estate on the Isles of Scilly to create a craft beer with a lovely botanical twist.
Channel Hazy IPA is a 4.5% beer that really is born of its place, taking its flavours and character from the flora of Tresco. The team at Tresco Estate wanted to add some of the distinctive character of a plant that grows on the island, so we infused Confetti Bush into the brew, which brought forward notes of spice and citrus with a hint of bitterness.
The team incorporated the Confetti Bush into the Whirlpool stage of the process, a critical step where the wort is cooled slightly, allowing us to extract delicate flavours and aromas from late-hop additions and botanicals. This careful approach helped us draw out just the right amount of citrus and spice from the Confetti Bush without overwhelming the brew.
We added a generous dry hop of Citra, Simcoe, and Idaho. The result? A juicy, hazy IPA with bold notes of stone fruit and citrus, balanced by a gentle bitterness and a refreshing spice. The wheat and oats used in the brew contribute to the beer’s signature hazy golden appearance and satisfying mouthfeel.

330ml can.
L: Opaque, yellow/orange colour with two fingers of soapy head that collapses slowly to a smear.
S: Very light aroma. Vaguely fruity. No off notes.
T: Citrus upfront and a delicate, herbal, spicy aftertaste. Bitterness is low.
F: Medium body, velvet mouthfeel and prickly carbonation.
O: A solid NEIPA squeezed into just 4.5% ABV. Properly sessionable with little to no compromise in taste or mouthfeel. Very well crafted.
