Copenhagen 20/10 2019. 33 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. “Covfefe” written in strange geometric forms on Green background.
Pours opaque dark brown with big beige head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sidste of the glass. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is intense, rich, sweet and with fairly strong bitter edge. Dark chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, leather, Tobacco. Quite strong coffee-like bitterness.
Light carbonation. Thick, fat, viscous, smooth yet slightly sticky texture.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Followed and balanced by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undercurrent. Lingering.
Very nice and smooth Imperial stout with a surprisingly strong bitterness. Good one.

Pours onyx black with a fluffy, huge beige head atop.
Smells of an old school imperial stout with lots of burned malts, subtle toffee and bakers chocolate. This impression gets enhanced by sanut forward coffee aroma, giving even more depth to the toastiness in this.
Drinks smooth, silk and soft with a huge, complex body, which lets the beer stay on the palate for a long while.
Tastes of roasted coffee beans from the very beginning, together with some maple syrup and lighter pecans, adding beautifully to both other flavors. Turns a bit warmer then, without loosing its creamy smoothness, entangling the alcohol well into the coffee and profound malts. Finishes a little sweeter, heavier on the maple, highlighted by the nuts and a note of cinnamon, leaving back a long lasting aftertaste of roasty, bitter coffee.
This is bold, smooth, complex and very well working.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of flora coffee notes with some black chocolate notes is quite enticing. Taste is also a great mix of floral coffee notes, light roasted malt with some black chocolate notes with a not too bitter aftertaste. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. Very smooth imperial stout with good level of complexity while retaining some good drinkability.
