One of our Christmas beers for 2022. A drinkable brown ale with a touch of oranges added for complexity.

Copenhagen 22/1 2023. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Drawing of a green haired kid with a little match in front of a red brick wall on the label.
Pours clear maroon with a huge off-white head. Stable. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty, roasted scent mingling with a sour grainy scent. Caramel, toffee and toasted bread. sharp grains and whiff of citrus fruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Sweet nose but with a nice bitter bite when it reaches your palate.
