Chestnut brown beer. There are dried fruit and caramel on the nose – from the Belgian yeast strain with which the beer is fermented, but also from special malts and dark candy. In the mouth the beer is soft and complex with a slight sweetness, raisin and caramel tones and you can sense the sparingly used rye malt.

Copenhagen 7/5 2022. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, fb. F. Yellow can with People Like Us' logo in red and a little photo of Carsten Berthelsen sniffing a beer.
Pours opaque murky chestnut brown with big white head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty, slightly sugary odor mingling with a lighter citric scent. Caramel and toffee. Nuts and brown sugar. Whiff of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a more subdued bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a bitter undertone. Finish is sweet with a bit of booze.
Potent take on a Belgian Dubbel - without being overly Belgian.
