Copenhagen 1/6-2019. 33 cl bottle from Brønshøj Vinhandel, Frederikssundsvej, Brønshøj. Drawing by Keith Shore of a man and a woman drinking tea with enthusiasm on the label. According to the label the beer is brewed at Amager Bryghus.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense, tart, citric and with a solid sweetness rummaging in the background. Unripe berries, Citrus. Light herbal quality - from the Green tea, I suppose. Sweet caramel and straws. Peach and Pear in the background.
Light carbonation. Soft, slightly thick, oily texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by strong sourness. Aftertaste is bitter with a heavy sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Does not overdo the Tea thing. Pleasant enough but not like any Cream ale I've tasted.
