Cloudy, whitish gold color. Lasting, tight-bubbled head. Excellent lacing where the streaks are wide and chunky.
Juicy and sweet aroma of mango and (perhaps) pineapple. The hop is muted.
The taste seems to have darker malt than the appearance or the smell indicates, similar light, white bread toast. The tropical fruit flavors are strongest and again the hop is quite low, especially for the style. The body is lean but the carbonation is also low. The aftertaste is really more of the same, although a mild bitterness seems to linger longer than the rest of the flavors.

Picked-up a single can at Total Wine in Braintree for about four dollars. My third brew from these guys. Canned on date of August third. Just ok, pretty bland.

Pours a golden with white head. It's got some orange sherbet fragrances. The flavor is a little more mellow. It is less juicy and more citrus rind forward. Specifically getting that curacao orange peel character. I literally just had WeldWerks' juicy BIts (same hop combo) and I, across the board, enjoyed that one more than I'm enjoying this. That's unfortunate because I really have liked everything I've had from Small Change. This is still solid though.

I've enjoyed every beer I've had from the husband-and-wife brewing duo Small Change ever since they began a couple years back. Though it seems they've been making mostly IPAs these days, they've been really good in general so I can't really complain. PTSA is hopped with Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic, which is an "all-star" trio of hops found in some of the most well-liked NEIPAs out there (first one that immediately comes to mind is Weldwerks' Juicy Bits), so I'm very excited to see how this combo comes across when utilized by some talented local brewers.
The appearance is a stably-hazy (but not quite opaque) golden-yellow with some moderate orange-y tones if held to direct light. Head is excellent; forms well with about three fingers from a normal angled pour, and retains for the entirety of the experience thereafter. Very nice, sticky lace appears as the head fades to a half-finger and as I sip. Alright legs and good surface coverage. Not a very characterful pour really, but it's an NEIPA... doesn't have to do much more than be cloudy and at least look moderately-appealing as such to be "good."
My first sniff of this one is explosively hoppy, with complex elements ranging from dank piney aromatics to earthy/grassy scents and big notes of tropical fruit with a slight wild berry element dancing around in the background. Yup, Mosaic is doing some heavy-lifting here, that's for sure. Pretty strongly leaning on over-the-top dankness with some little aspects of chive and florals peeking out. Mango, guava, and papaya with a hint of tangerine and grapefruit rind. It's kind of "been there done that," of course, but perhaps that's just cynicism speaking. It's a very solid, intense aroma with some very nice stuff happening that I appreciate.
A bit soapy and intensely-floral/piney on the tongue with a strong chive undertone and some fruity flavors of passion fruit, papaya, and mango flesh. Maybe leaning a little toooo much on Mosaic here, honestly. The subtlety of El Dorado feels a bit lost, and Citra is just doing its thing pulling out some grapefruit and pomelo. I think this is slightly too bitter and "aggro" for its own good, but it's still pretty tasty. Somewhat bubbly and effervescent in a way that I don't expect in NEIPAs; again, possibly a bit overly-aggressive in multiple ways. Dankness overload. Seven day old can. Fresh stuff, and I'm always thankful for that, but this is probably not my favorite SC beer.
