A Refreshing Wheat Beer with a Twist! Brewed with 2-row Northwest Pale, Malted Wheat, and Unmalted Wheat. Blood orange provides a subtle twist to this refreshing brew. It pours with a white lacy head and a hint of orange aroma. A medium malt body with a crisp wheat finish and subtle orange flavor.

I believe they chaned the name to Blood Orange Hefeweizen
Look - darker orangish brown with slight white head and skimming
Smell - smells like a hefe, banana and clove
Taste - taste more like a wheat ale with some blood orange instead of a hefe
Feel - lighter body with a slight carb
Overall - just ok

From a six-pack, bottled 10/13/20. I am familiar with many German hefes, so I am intrigued to see how Full Sail adapts, wondering if the blood orange twist will work out.
L: Sturdy head fully white and fizzy, quick to fade away. Appears super carbonated as it bubbles on the surface. Medium cloudiness without visible sediment. Pale amber in color, more orange than red, about 9.
S: Grapefruit acidity first and foremost, followed by slight barnyard must. As to be expected, quite wheaty. There are minute notes of pine and wood, probably to achieve a Northwest appeal. Disappointing is the intensity, the nose is weak overall.
T: A light wheat greets the tongue, and then the acidity of grapefruit mingles with a surprising bitter factor. It is quick to develop and short-lived. The finish is earthy. I missed it initially, but at the same time I taste grapefruit, there is a shadow of bubblegum.. redeeming.
F: I did not expect to be greeted with as much hops, but it turned out well. Medium-High carbonation mixed with the acidity makes for a very crispy and refreshing beer. All wrapped up with a wet finish.
Full Sail's Blood Orange Hefe is good, but it is not great. It is fully quenching and clean, but the nose was a let down, as if the smells wanted to remain in the glass. I appreciate their attempt at flavoring a hefe, but I feel it could be done better, maybe with a gentler fruit. I subtle notes of pine and cedar were a pleasantry. I say, keep experimenting and I will enjoy Widmer Bros. or Ayinger in the meantime.

if you like shock top this a slight step up but lacks the specific kick of other full sail products. Its not bad, just that fruity wheat beer is, what it is.
I love full sail, but i would call this beer somewhat above average

From a mixed 12 Pack. Pours to a permanent white head and gold- orange hazy hue. Aroma is definitely oranges and pale malts. Same for the taste. It delivers a very pleasantly sweet but not too sweet charge of orange flavor balanced with alcohol and malts. Not a "frou frou" beer at all. Light and smooth MF. Overall a pleasant experience as a stand alone, grown up alternative to an orange soda or cocktail or a complement to compatible dishes (think fish, chicken, sweet BBQ).

Highly carbonated beverage with hints of orange and bitterness . Very refreshing brew. Slight head and faint orange aroma. Pleasant wheat ale for the hot days of summer.
