A throw back to what the best IPAs were about 10 years ago, and a nice change up to the new wave of tropical, "east coast", session, fruited, etc. etc. IPAs. Solid malt body with a medium caramel malt presence, otherwise it's a nice and clean background for the hops. Amber body with a sticky white head that coats the glass. Love the use of Chinook hops here - old school American blast of rough but vibrant pine and grapefruit hoppiness. Bitterness is firm but not harsh. Having seen the evolution of American IPAs the last 10 or so years, this happens to be my favorite approach to the style. Big and brash American hops, balanced by a reasonable malt body, and no gimmicks. Full Sail nailed it here.

Pours a pretty nice slight hazy dark golden amberish color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose malty, some hops, some citrus. The taste is malty, hoppy, citrusy. Medium body, nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a nice little thirst quencher.

Clear gold with a touch of orange. One fat finger of white head. The head settles in about five minutes and leaves fine bubble lace.
Smell is funky citrus fruit.
Taste is hop forward with resin and citrus mingling. A very slight malt presence in the taste but enough to make this medium bodied. Carbonation is good and the finish is dry and bitter.
Overall an interesting and tasty IPA from Full Sail in Hood River.
