12 ounce bottle from Albertsons. Hazy, milky poor with a one finger fluffy head. Aroma is milky with a hint of vanilla. More lacto notes in the taste, Touch of orange peel and a bit more of the vanilla.

Don't be deterred by the off-putting name - this is a delicious beer than even this non-IPA lover could drink every day. Tastes nothing like a milkshake!

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Color is golden orange, extremely hazy, a good bit of agitated yeast is visible in the beer. From even the first look this beer announces it is full of flavor waiting to be unleashed. Poured with a 1 inch head with very good retention and lacing. Smell is pineapple, grapefruit and orange. Up front taste is pine oil, grapefruit, with notes of dark fruit and just enough of a bready malt flavor to balance this extremely hop forward beer. Aftertaste is almost smoky, the citrus settles to the foreground leaving the rest of the flavors of the beer to gently fade into the background without completely disappearing. Mouthfeel is very thick, definitely has the creamy and soft texture that is the hallmark of a good milkshake IPA. Carbonation is medium-light, with 'small' sized bubbles. Overall, this beer is one of the only ones I've ever tried that I truly consider, 'world class'. The Milkshake IPA style has been my favorite since I had my first one from Verboten Brewing and Barrel in Loveland, Colorado. Unfortunately for them, I must say this particular beer takes the cake above all the others I've tried. For me, this is the quintessential Milkshake IPA, a great balance of citrusy hops, tropical fruit notes, and a milky sweetness of the malt, oats, and lactose. This beer is an absolute pleasure to drink, just enough bitterness and hops without going overboard, and all the sweetness and fruity flavors you could ever ask for out of a beer. I cannot recommend this beer enough!

Bachelor gift from JP, poured into pint glass at home a few weeks later. Nearly orange, very murky. Good drinkability though a little heavy.
