Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with some coppery tones and a fine, one finger white head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of pale malt, muted citrus and piney hops with a little dankness. Flavor is lightly caramel pale malt, citrus, piney and dank hops, orange, grapefruit, pine and a little catty dankness. Solid, assertive pine and citrus rind bitterness in the finish with some resin. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel.Cartoon graphics on cans often make me underestimate the contents, and this is one of those cases. The aroma didn't get my hopes up; it was a bit muted with not much herbal hop character. The taste, however is quite nice. A classic West Coast profile of citrus and pine with some dankness to make things interesting. Malt body gives nice mouth feel. Nicely done. A long way out my geographical territory, but I'd get this again if I saw it.
