There's always money in the banana stand. OK , there's actually no bananas in this beer, and it’s not actually a stand BUT there is a pleasing banana flavor brought on by the yeast we used.
We additionally took our time with this beer during the mash to help those yeast extract some more banana flavor from the heavy amount of wheat malt used. This is a dry wheat beer with unique esters and phenols of banana and a subtle hit of cloves complimented by the modest addition of hops.
So how much clearer can we say, "There's always money in the banana stand!"

I am a huge fan of banana flavored things and I love a good Hefeweizen but this is not very enjoyable, considering either of those two things. I was on the fence about trying this from the reviews on BA and untapped as I paced back and forth in the aisle of the liquor store and I wish I passed on this one. I honestly do not even want to finish drinking the beer that I poured and will be giving out the other three from the four pack.

I’ve never heard of Reverie, but I’m willing to take a gamble on any brewery distributing a Hefeweizen! They say they took their time with fermentation on this one to get more banana out of it, so I’m guessing they fermented on the higher end for that yeast. Let’s see how it worked out for them
Pours a cloudy orange gold with 2 fingers of frothy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
Oh yeah, there’s a ton of banana to the nose in this one. It’s sweet but still balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of sweet banana, honey, earthy wheat, bubblegum, banana bread, vanilla, and clove
It’s a touch sweeter in taste and it suffers a bit for that, it’s reminiscent of banana Runts. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting sweet banana, lemon custard, clove, earthy wheat, orange zest, clove, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of banana Runts, banana bread, clove, bubblegum, wheat bread, and lemon zest
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a clean beer. Finishes neutral and ir goes down easy despite the sweetness, but it’s a tad watery
This definitely tastes more like an artificial banana addition than manipulating fermentation, but I actually quite like it. It’s certainly unique

A: The beer is somewhat hazy dark golden yellow in color and has a high amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high white head that died down but consistently left a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of clove spices are present in the nose along with notes of bananas.
T: The taste follows the smell
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This hefeweizen tastes a little heavier in body compared to other beers in the style. The banana-like aromas and flavors from the yeast are definitely noticeable, although the clove-like spices quickly dominate the smell and taste of this beer once it warms up a bit.

Warm, deep sensation of antique gold. Natural haze darkens as it approaches amber. On the darker side with 1F rocky, white head. The retention is average to below as it doesn't really last past the initial sip or two.
It doesn't disappoint in aroma as it's all bananas. Sure, I'm primed by the name but the bananas are super prominent. Some herbal vanilla and soft lemon verbena. They're understated, but provide a vital supportive role that rounds out the fruit esters.
Mediumish bodied. Moderately creamy. Not too effervescent, carbonation seems lacking right now. Finish more dry and toasty.
Once again, very brash in its presentation of bananas. There's a good roundness to the banana flavor from darker sweeter, caramelized bread to a mustier and more tropical plantain. Overall, taste is rather sweet. Pop of drying clove in the middle yields to a minty herbal green tea with sliced melon.
