Dooryard NEIPA

Coös Brewing Company IPA New England / Hazy
My notes:

Colebrook, NH represent!! Sweet and floral hop aromatics, spicy pine hop flavor with a current of sweet berries and honey bread, grainy malt balance. Sharp and tangy honey edge but mostly sweet pine, fruity and floral hop complexities. Nice. Grainy and sour lingers slightly in the finish.

From a 16oz can with no freshness markings.

Pours into my tulip an opaque straw shade with a creamy off-white head. Quite a bit of fluffy sticky lace.

Scent is hard to discern. Vague tropical fruit and grapefruit.

Taste is tropical fruit. Oranges. Citrus. Mild bitter resiny pine note in the finish. Possibly some pineapple

Mouth is creamy.

Enjoyed it but not something I would go out of my way to find again.

Poured on draft.

Pours a lightly cloudy golden straw color with a finger of bright white head. The head leaves some splotches of lacing before settling into a thin ring.

The aroma brings very faint notes of grapefruit and orange with a decent bready malt note on the back.

The taste follows the nose: Some grapefruit and orange with plenty of doughy malt present. Finishes faintly piney and earthy.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Relatively smooth with a dry finish.

Overall, a decent IPA that is about as straightforward as they come. Still, it's nicely drinkable and inoffensive so it's at least worth a try.

Sampled on tap at the brewery on July 6, 2019.

The brewery calls it an NEIPA but it does not poor like a hazy, pulpy beer. It is a slightly hazy golden-yellow with a modest white head that fades.

There is some citrus on the nose along with floral characters and the white bread sensation is muted but there.

The mouthfeel was smooth and in the medium range.

The flavor ends up being more sweet than hooped up with a little bit of that floral and citrus bite that I mentioned. Not overly bitter but generally a likable experience.

Crowler from the source.
Hazy murky lemon yellow with a thick bubbly white head that persists. Citrus earthy pine and light fruit on the nose Flavor follows the aroma. Pretty tasty IPA from way up in the north country.
