such a cool beer, and seemingly cool brewery, brazil and japan heritage, female brewers, way cool. this has to be the first beer i have ever seen done in collaboration with a hotel, not sure what thats about, but the beer is excellent, my first from them, very impressive in overall quality and incredibly light and drinkable, super impressive, so curious about more of them now! this is almost watered down looking its so pale from the unique looking pint can, not even yellow, effervescent to the max, pretty light and tiny bubbled head on top an inch high, not quite clear but light enough that it still looks absurdly delicate. its a rice lager, bone dry, done with yuzu, and it smells like exactly that, starchy slightly floral from the rice, without any heavier barley presence at all, and with a pretty hefty pop of the yuzu, almost hits like a witbier with the citrus, a light coriander type herbal thing, and some apparent esters from the yeast, although that could all be this very natural yuzu. the flavor is yuzu forward because the grain is so light, earthy but only in essence. no bitterness here at all which can sometimes happen in light grained citrus beers, but not here. suggestions of white tea, clementine, lemongrass, and like really high end soap, but in a good way. the prickly and excited carbonation lasts the whole drink, and the lightness is amazing. i still cant help but think this hits kind of belgian, even though its also decidedly japanese, really interesting, more here from the lager yeast than most of these have, but its unique too. overall ive never quite had anything like this, and the quality impresses almost more than the flavor. i like this a little colder, more refreshing then, it warms up a bit estery and even presents a faint tang, but i am sort of addicted to it. will be on the hunt for more of their stuff, real cool first impression here!
