From a bottle:

Slight bit of smoke upon opening the bottle. Somewhat murky golden color pour. As I hold it up to the light, I just see a very tiny amount of carbonation rising in the glass. No tornado here. With an aggressive pour, all I was able to get was a 1 finger white head. The retention is not the best, with no lacing on the glass.
Aroma is quite interesting, and I'm having a tough time putting my finger on it. It does seem very earthy, and grassy. I think I'm getting lemon?!? Not sure. Interesting to say the least.
Taste - Very grassy flavor in this beer. I think I am getting lemon in it, like a lemongrass flavor. Yeah, lemon and some orange going on here. Notes of grain come in on the back. Very earthy on the back also. Slight bitterness also hits on the back.
The earthy flavors coat my throat, and the feeling lingers in my palate. In a way this beer is light, but it sure as heck doesn't feel light at all.
This beer is a complex beer that will mess with your mind. You see Pilsner, and expect one thing that would seem boring. Well, this beer is anything but boring. So much going on here will hopefully expand your beer mind. Solid.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, rich golden color with a mild white head. SRM of 8. (3.50)

Aroma: Strong aromas of pale malts, biscuit malt, with a smooth honey underneath. (4.00)

Flavor: Moderate flavors of pale malts, bread & biscuit malts with a smooth and sweet honey flavor underneath. Then a surprisingly yeasty flavor for a dry finish. (3.50)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Sweet on the front, but dry and yeasty off the end. (3.75)

Compared to Old Nation Rubikon 5/2023: Pours darker milder head. More honey and biscuit on the aroma. Less lemon citrus. More smooth biscuit and bread malts and yeast.

Overall: An alright Italian Pilsner here. A bit heavier at 5.6%. Mostly smooth biscuit and honey malt (almost caramel) flavors. Sort of reminds me of a Blonde or Golden Ale rather. Then it has a distinct yeast and dryness off the end. Not my favorite Italian or German "Pils" by any means, but it's alright. (Rating: 3.70)

I poured this 12oz. bottle into a 20oz. weizen glass. There is a nice two finger head over a yellow brew with an orange tint. I can't say this beer is perfectly clear, but it is clear enough to get mesmerized by the steady rise of carbonation. The head has receded to a thin cap after several minutes with patchy lacing left behind.
The aroma is fresh bread malt and a pleasant hint of fresh yeast.
The flavor is sweet fresh bread, with a light spice hop presence at the finish line.
I can feel the carbonation with each sip of this light mouth feel Pils.
This is an easy one to enjoy, very refreshing after spending the last couple of hours working in the woods. Goes perfect with pizza, and it should this is an Italian Pil!!

First time trying an Italian style pilsner. I was surprised by its sweetness and malt forward character. It carries more of a toasted caramel flavor than a light bready malt. The hop presence seems to get weaker the farther you get into the beer. Overall pretty good, just different from what I expected.

Italian style Pilsner
Look: transparent gold body, ok white head that leaves some lacing
Smell: smells very good, rather strong aroma, sweet malt, honey (and a bit of honey lemon to it), floral, and something else maybe biscuit
taste: follows the nose, sweet at first but has some bitterness on the finish. A hint of bread and later on cracker, maybe pepper or some spice? Smooth beer. Doesn't finish very dry compared to some other Italian Pils beers that I have drank.
Nice mouth feel, it's malty not thin
I like this beer, Rather sweet. Has a few characteristics of a Mai Bock.

Brewery notes:
Sweet hops on the nose, followed by crisp, light body on the tongue – it’s a marriage made in Italy. We pour our passion for Italian pilsners into Amanti (Italian for “lovers”), using only European hops and Pilsen malt for the ultimate in sun drenched refreshment. It’s not subtle for a pils, and it shouldn’t be. It’s Italian.
