Blonde Betsy owes her name to the statue 'The Wind' by artist Irénée Duries on the Bredense Duinenplein, popularly known as 'Naked Betsy'.

Bremen 21/7 2023. 33 cl bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. Black and off-white label with the silhouette of a wriggling stripper. Might be the infamous Blonde Betsy.
Pours clear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin remnants floating around. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor with a distinct touch of wheat mingling with a herbal and spicy scent. Sweet pale malts, orange peel, white sugar. Chamomile and hand sanitizer.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, a bit greasy, almost flat texture. Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and herbal.
A tad too herbal. But Blonde Betsy might be into chamomile tea and clean hands.
