Copenhagen 23/9 2023. 33 cl chubby bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. Cartoonish drawing of a partially hidden couple having sex on a tropical beach. Classy.
Pours unclear murky golden yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,5cm thick, lumpy layer of foam covering the surface off the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor with touch of sweet fruit mingling with tart citrus fruit. Dry vibe. Sweet, pale malts, toffee and bread. Touch of mango. Lemon and citrus. A bit sharp.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart, sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Not a standard Indian Pale Ale - but certainly sourish and bitter.
