"skiff" small pour on-draught @ the brewery in Port Douglas. $9 AUD.
Great clarity. Vibrant gold colour.
Dry with some grassy spice. Not quite as refreshing as I'd expect of a pilsner proper, but it's not a bad brew. More Saaz spiciness is needed, and crisp clean fresh pilsner malt needs to be at the fore.

Drunk fresh at the brewery in June 2022.
In the glass, it's a lovely chicken-soup dark golden yellow. There's evident heavy carbonation, a thin, persistent head and lacing down the glass.
There are clean malt notes on the nose. Maybe a slight, earthy hop presence.
As with many lagers the taste follows the nose. There's moderate, clean bitterness and earthy, woody hop overtones overlaying a mild biscuity malt body.
Mouthfeel is quite prickly and carbonated. It immediately brought to mind Lifesavers (that's a ring-shaped, zesty and sherbety candy for non-Aussies out there).
Overall this is a really nice lager. It definitely invites a second glass and would be a beer easy beer to spend a night with if the opportunity arose.
Cheers!
