Yet another industrial park brewery and bar, this one south of Clairemont Mesa. My favorite thing is the red lighting, so dim and unexpected. But then the theme is eternal torment, so it figures. Check the 19th Century engravings in the toilet room for clarification.
Barmaid was extremely helpful and pleasant. A dozen beers on tap, all interesting. They like a certain heavy hand on the hops so be forewarned. Five oz tasters available as well as 10 oz and pints at fair prices.
It's an actual brewery, you walk in by the row of tanks, and they were brewing right there in the long room. My least favorite thing was them running the pump endlessly. Really loud and grating when added to the metal music. But it's a jolly spot and seems to attract its own crowd.
