L-Cherrywood colored..nice clarity....light tan head
S-Oddly enough I get a touch of toasted coconut on the aroma at first... I'm relatively certain no coconut was used but the toasty malt impression gives off a touch of that on the smell. Deeper in the coconut fades and I wonder if it was ever actually there as now I get rich melanoidins.
T-Rich toasty maltiness. Excellent flavor for the style.
F-Body is about right. I was a bit concerned with the somewhat lower ABV but this hits the mark nicely in body/weight for a regular bock.
O-I'm impressed. Had a sample of this at the brewery and thought it was ok but decided to get a growler anyhow. Glad I did. Shows how samples are hard to rate from. Now I wish I'd have bought three or four more of these. Great to see another bock on the landscape. This ranks up there with the top in Minnesota.
