Hawaiian Haze IPA has arrived with a double dry hopped flavour explosion. Juicy tropical licks of pineapple, mango, passionfruit, and mandarin burst atop a soft, pillowy mouthfeel. It's the luscious hazy hitter on everyone's lips.

From the Boozebud Advent Calendar 2022, Day 1. Drunk in January 2023, but done so in company so notes are very perfunctory.
L: Bright yellow with heavy carbonation in the glass and a frothy, bubbly, bright-white head.
S: Lemon, menthol.
T: Bitter grapefruit, menthol, lemon, and, unfortunately, shampoo, especially as it warms.
M: Smooth, with moderate carbonation, despite what the visuals are saying.
O: This one had quite the grapefruit vibe going on, which tended towards Mosaic-derived shampoo. I wasn't paying full attention, but suspect I'd have been more scathing had I been...
Cheers!

On-draught @ the brewery. $14 AUD per pint (570ml).
Vaguely tropical with warm pineapple driving it, I guess hence the "Hawaiian" designation. Hop profile is okay for a 6% pale ale, but doesn't dazzle. 2-row pale malt sweetness.
Drinkable but forgettable fare. Compared to its international competition, it's not much, and within Australia I'd probably sooner buy Feral Brewing's dabblings in the style. Fine, but not dazzling. Better than Balter XPA for what little that's worth.
