Pours a burgundy-brown with a mild fog to the translucency. Head is two fingers of fluffy caramel colored foam. Aroma is fig, raisins, and caramel mashed together in a semi-sweet blend. Toffee, and toasty and bready malts add some depth, and balance out that initial flash of sweetness. Flavor profile builds and blends semi-sweet notes of fig, raisins, toffee, caramel, and very faint molasses, with hearty notes of bready and toasty malts. Together, it creates a semi-sweet flavor profile with some heavy malt depth to anchor it. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a very soft texture that is semi-crisp at the onset. Overall, a mild tempered bock with some semi-sweet notes that keep it endearing and yet refreshing.

Look: Very dark chocolate brown. One finger of foamy off-white head with excellent retention.
Smell: Cherries, sweet malt, light citrus.
Taste: Deep brown malt at the forefront, with mild bitterness and a slight roast note. Little or no hop flavor.
Mouthfeel: Average body with high carbonation.
Overall: A nice, warming dark lager that’s easy to drink in any weather.
