Look: Crystal clear dark amber. One finger of white head with excellent retention.
Smell: Citrusy and resinous hops with a small tropical fruit note and bare hint of sweet malt.
Taste: Amber malt followed by a big hit of oak from the wood chips used. Minor earthy hops and lingering bitterness on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Full and chewy with high carbonation.
Overall: An unusual pale ale that can be a bit jarring but one that you get used to.
