Keel of the Kon Tiki likes its name sake is a bold beer venturing out on new horizons. Keel of the Kon Tiki is a beer designed to whisk you away on a breezy summer day with this light and refreshing APA. Brewed with Pacific Jade to start followed by a late dry-hop of Simcoe to bring out the citrus notes of melon and southern fruits touched with a hint of pine and pepper.

Part of a flight consumed at the brewery, straight from the keg into a 5 ounce tasting glass. The body of the beer is a pale, cloudy yellow, with a decent white head and good lacing as the beer went down. A definite citrus aroma on the nose. The first sip reinforced the citrus, with the taste of grapefruit followed by the hops bitterness from the two hops used: Pacific Jade and Simcoe. Nice clean finish. At 4.4 abv this is a very tasty session pale ale.
