On draught. It pours a cloudy, reddish-brown with orange hues (the bartender referred to it as a "red ale"), and a thin, khaki-colored head that dissipated quickly leaving minimal lacing. It's nose features sweet malt, caramel, apple, raisin, and coriander seed. It's malty and quite sweet, almost cloying, with tastes of brown bread, apple, raisin, caramel, honey, and coriander. There is a lot of spice at the finish. This ale is medium-bodied and fairly creamy, with moderate carbonation, and it seems boozy for an ABV of 5.6% Overall, it has the makings of a solid Belgian Ale but the sweetness should be toned down a notch.
