The Smokin' Fire" is a smoked red ale. The smoke comes from a maple tree that is over 60 years old. The fire burns at a steady temperature for over four hours to give a unique smokey flavour to our malted barley. The smoke from the grain then gets infused with the beer during the fermentation.

Appearance - Pours a rusty red with two fingers of bubbly off-white head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, floral hops, smoke, earthy undertones from the wood smoke, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, floral hops upfront then quickly goes into the smoke (not as intense as the aroma suggests) and earthy undertones from the wood smoke. The bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky from the hops and the smooth smoke lingers.
Overall - An interesting take on the style by using smoke from a 60 year old maple tree. It gives it a unique taste to a solid red base. Worth a try if your curious.
