A small place inside with an outside that I agree with the earlier reviewer-looks like an old elementary school. It’s nestled in a residential section, but they found space to have a nano-brew operation in one corner of a large school room sized tasting area.

The bar seats about a dozen people, and there are enough tables to maybe bring total customer count to 50ish, and you’re very likely to get to meet your neighbor. There are two any sex bathrooms and a water station. For entertainment, there are board games, two TVs, and a couple pinball machines. They are also dog (and possibly goat) friendly.

The selection landed heavy on the darker beers, with variants of a few beers taking up one board while lighter beers (pale ales, lagers, and even a saison) shared the other. Overall, they had 16 taps pouring their beer, most of which were of fair quality (note: the two BBA beers they had available had nice barrel influence without being overdone).

We were there on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was quite full, so it seems community support is pretty good. Service was at one end of the bar and the team behind it handled the single queue efficiently and with a good attitude.

Like many brew pubs, this is a very casual place. The building looks like a former school house. It also houses apartments. Easy to miss if you don’t note it ahead of time.

The variety was impressive with 16 different beers including sours, porters, stouts, pale ales, etc. Most of them are middle of the road, but there are a couple of real gems. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

My mother comments, “I love the goats that serve the beer,” She was marveling at the long beards of the brewer and the bartender.
