Bottle shared at brewery. Pale golden, smalll white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, grassy. Taste leans heavily on the NZ hops, funky, musty, dirty. Still getting used to those hops from down under.

I do not think this beer will rate as high as Saltfire beers. The beer is 45 degrees and served in a stange. The pour on the beer produced a two finger bright white head. The head is creamy and foamy. The head dissipated at a rapid rate. I was looking for retention. The head did leave a small amount of lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 3 a pale straw with yellow hues. The clarity of the beer is brilliant. Carbonation bubble is visible within the beer.

The initial aroma in the beer is oranges and crackers. Next, I smell mangos, pineapple, floral, and herbal.

The flavors in the beer are pineapple, oranges, crackers, mangos, floral, malty sweetness, grassy, and herbal.

The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonation, and crisp.

The body of the beer is light, high carbonation, and a medium finish.

When I pour the beer and saw how fast the head dissipated I knew this beer had issues. I know great pils has excellent head retention, this beer did not. The flavors in the beer are just okay. I was hoping for more from this beer, I just found it to be a bit above average.

surprised to see this one rated so poorly here, i thought it was really nice, bright and dry hoppy with the new zealand hops, tropical fruity in a cool way, refreshing still, delicate, not overly hoppy, but nuanced and quite different than the standard german or czech style where the noble hops bitter up the finish, i could see a style purist not loving this, but my gosh, the beer is brilliantly refined, super drinkable, and the hops are fresh and interesting in it. bright yellow brew with a tall white head and excellent carbonation. notes of kiwi fruit, green grape, mango, and papaya in the nose, but not sweetness at all, still balanced by the crackery classic pils malt. the flavor is balanced too, and with the hops giving more of a lemon and melon complexion here, just a little bit bitter to finish, botanical and fresh, distinct but in a minimalist sort of way, which i really like, especially in this style. i love the recipe here and i am impressed with the execution. probably my favorite of the saltfire beers we had. this is really good, modern sure, but professional and smart too. loved it!

500ml bottle from the brewery store. Pours clear gold with very little head. Aroma of lemon, flowers, earth, grass. Taste of lemon, grape, grass with a bitter finish. Not my favorite style but it's a solid pilsner.
