absolutely fantastic ipa here, not overly thick and dense for what it is, drinkable and clean, even delicate in some ways, but the hop profile is really unique, makes this memorable for me, and it sits on my palate in a really cool way, like i taste to many things all at once, id love to know what hops they used in here, but it seems like some cryo hops are likely, it has that forward pungency without any greenness, the start to finish hop presence not the late climax, and it finishes really clean. maybe some new zealand hops in here, maybe australia, i get a little lime leaf thing like i used to get from galaxy when it was new, white tea, ripe cantaloupe, perhaps some el dorado there, lemongrass and orange blossom, all sort of candied a little bit, but the beer isnt sweet. the grain is light in this and i am surprised to learn of its strength, its simple and pale, dry and cerealy without being particularly interesting or relevant in the flavor, its just there for support and balance it seems, and it performs admirably in that role. this is real fresh, has a juicy vibe, and i even get a little green grape thing at the end, quenching for the style, and dangerously drinkable. impressive effort here, easily the best hop forward beer i have encountered from saltfire and i am thirsty for more of it!
