I am continuing with another Saltfire beers, Hefeweizen. I am using a Hefeweizen glass and serving it at 44 degrees. The pour created a frothy, airy, two-fingered white head with average retention. The somewhat slow dissipation left no lacing on the glass. The color is golden yellow with straw color hues, charting at SRM 6, and hazy. I was hoping for a longer last head and had some lacing on the glass. Overall the appearance of the beer is average.
When I pouring the beer into the glass, an immense aromas of banana, bubblegum, and cloves emitting up from the glass. Nosing the glass, I smell toasted wheat, earthy, light malty sweetness, and lemons. The beer has the typical Hefe aromas, the bubblegum and banana is strong.
The flavors start with bubblegum, banana, cloves, lemons, toasted cereal grains, and light toasted malts. Sipping the beer several more times, I taste earthiness, grass, and malty sweetness.
The mouthfeel is a thin and finishes dry. The body is medium -light and has medium carbonation.
I have a few issues with this beer, the beer is not as creamy as one would expect for a Hefe. The beers body is a bit thin and it is has some sourness to it, I was not expecting from Saltfire. They generally make wonderful craft beer, I think they need to take a deeper dive on this style.

Taster flight at SaltFire. Cloudy yellow pour, weak head. Aroma is weizen yeast, heavy on the bubblegum. Taste is sweet, bready, some weizen notes, but a little bit weak on body.
