Dust off your fall sweaters and pour your pumpkin spice latte down the drain because we have a much better option for you. This Imperial Pilsner has hop-forward dank notes of strawberry, melon, and guava. Bright gold with a clean bitterness, this beer is extremely crisp and easy drinking, perfect for the changing of the seasons.

I decided to end the night with an Imperial Pilsner. The weather outside is chillier, and I need a sweater. Hopefully, this will keep me warm and cozy. I am using old Michelob pilsner glass and serving it at 42 degrees. The pour created a frothy, airy, two-fingered, white head with excellent retention. The slow dissipation left chunks of lacing on the glass. The color is pale straw with light golden hues, charting at SRM 4, and is brilliantly clear. The appearance of this beer is above average.
Nosing the glass, I smell grass, melons, peaches, guava, mangoes, a floral bouquet, and lightly toasted malt. Swirling the glass several times, I detect light white pepper, herbal, fruitiness, crackers, and light malty sweetness.
The aroma profile became more intense as I sipped the beer. The first sip, I taste dank hops, melons, apricots, guava, floral esters, crackers, mangoes, and white pepper. As flavors develop on my palate, I notice strawberries, toasted bread crust, bay leaves, earthy, grassy, and biscuits.
The mouthfeel is astringent and finishes crisp and dry. The body is medium-light and has medium carbonation.
After nosing the glass, I realized this was no ordinary pilsner. After the first sip, I took a minute to regain my thoughts. This beer is big and in your face, and it hops with a delicate balance between the hop and malt profile. Sweater Weather is a beautiful pilsner; I'm glad I could try it.
