Another beer from SaltFire, I do enjoy the offerings this brewery puts out. I am using a Belcher Glass, and the beer's serving temperature is 42 degrees. It is a bit chilly outside to enjoy a crisp rice lager. The pour created a white, two-fingered, foamy, airy head with above-average retention. The color is pale straw with light golden hues, charting at SRM 4, and transparent. The appearance of the rice is above average.
Nosing the glass, I smell rice, grainy sweetness, light herbal, grassy yeasty, and light green apple.
Sipping the beer, grainy sweetness, light herbal, resin, grassy, cooked rice, yeasty, light green apple, and earthiness.
The mouthfeel is slightly astringent, with a crisp and dry finish. The body is light, with medium-plus carbonation.
Final Thought: I enjoyed sipping on Rice Lager; it was crisp and refreshing, with some flavor. Overall, one of my favorite rice lagers thus far.
